About these terms
These terms govern your use of solena·guide, operated by Finlay Harris trading as Solena Guide ("we", "us", "our"). By using solena·guide — whether as a guest using the free itinerary tool or as a holiday let owner with an account — you agree to these terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What solena·guide provides
solena·guide is a platform with several connected surfaces, including:
The platform may expand to include additional surfaces over time. Any new surfaces will be subject to these terms unless stated otherwise.
AI-generated content — important notice
Itineraries are produced by an AI model and informed by real-time data including weather forecasts and tidal information. They are suggestions only — not professional travel advice, not guarantees of availability, and not a substitute for your own judgement.
We make no representations as to:
- The accuracy or completeness of any recommended venue, activity, or route
- Whether any venue is open, accessible, or suitable for your specific needs on the day
- The availability or quality of any business recommended by the platform
Cornwall coastal and tidal safety. Some itinerary suggestions may include beaches, cliff paths, coastal walks, and tidal areas. Conditions in Cornwall can change rapidly. Always check tide times independently before visiting tidal beaches or sea caves. Follow local signage and the advice of HM Coastguard. solena·guide accepts no liability for injury or accident arising from coastal or outdoor activities.
Always verify before you visit. Check opening times directly with venues. Weather and road conditions vary — do not rely solely on AI-generated suggestions for safety-critical decisions.
Owner accounts and subscription
Owner accounts are available on a paid subscription basis. The current subscription fee is displayed at the point of sign-up and may be updated from time to time with reasonable notice.
- You may cancel at any time. Access continues to the end of your current billing period — no partial refunds are issued.
- We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect.
- You are responsible for keeping your property information accurate and your account secure.
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts used in breach of these terms.
- If your account is cancelled or deactivated, your guest page is removed immediately and any guest links to it will cease to work.
Content you submit
As an owner, you may submit content to your property page — including welcome messages, top picks, and property details. You retain ownership of all content you submit. By submitting it, you grant us a licence to store it, display it to guests visiting your page, and use it to improve the platform. You can withdraw this licence at any time by requesting deletion of your account.
You must not submit content that is misleading, harmful, or that you do not have the right to use.
Partner recommendations
solena·guide may feature local businesses ("partners") within generated itineraries. These are businesses we have chosen to include based on local knowledge and quality — they are recommendations, not paid advertising placements.
We are not a party to any transaction between you and a partner business. We accept no responsibility for the quality, availability, or conduct of any third-party business featured on the platform. Any booking or purchase you make with a partner is a direct arrangement between you and them.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use solena·guide to:
- Scrape, copy, or systematically extract itinerary content or place data at scale
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, caches, or access controls
- Submit false information to the itinerary form
- Reverse engineer or replicate the platform's AI prompts, scoring logic, or data
- Use guest page URLs to abuse the itinerary generation system
We may block access without notice if we detect misuse.
Service availability and force majeure
We aim to keep solena·guide running reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. The platform depends on third-party services — including the AI model, mapping data, weather data, and hosting infrastructure. Outages or changes in any of these will affect the service and are outside our control.
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to third-party API outages, infrastructure failures, natural events, or changes in law.
We will communicate planned downtime to owner account holders where possible.
Intellectual property
The solena·guide name, logo, and platform design are our property. You may not reproduce or use them without written permission.
Itineraries generated by the platform are for your personal use. You may share them freely but may not commercialise AI-generated itinerary content without our written agreement.
Age
solena·guide is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use this service or provide any personal information.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of or reliance on solena·guide — including personal injury from following a suggested route, financial loss from visiting a venue that is closed or changed, or loss of data from browser storage limitations.
Our total liability to you in any circumstances is limited to the total amount you have paid us in the three months before the relevant event. For users of the free service, this means our total financial liability is nil. You retain any statutory rights that cannot be excluded under UK consumer law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform grows. Owner account holders will be notified by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. For guest users, the version published at solena.guide/terms at the time of each visit applies.
